Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Locomotive Engineer At Union Pacific Railroad Is Completion Of High School Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates Basic Knowledge And Understanding Of Academic Subjects Such As Math, Physics, And English, Which Are Essential For Operating A Locomotive.

  • Valid Driver's License: A Valid Driver's License Is A Must-Have Qualification For A Locomotive Engineer At Union Pacific Railroad. This Indicates The Candidate's Ability To Operate A Motor Vehicle Safely And Follow Traffic Rules And Regulations.

  • Prior Experience In Railroad Industry: Union Pacific Railroad Prefers Candidates With Prior Experience In The Railroad Industry. This Could Include Experience As A Train Conductor, Brakeman, Or Other Positions Within The Company.
