High School Diploma Or Ged: A Minimum Educational Requirement For A Locomotive Engineer At Union Pacific Railroad Is A High School Diploma Or Ged. This Demonstrates Basic Educational Competency And The Ability To Follow Instructions.
Previous Railroad Experience: Union Pacific Railroad Prefers Candidates With Previous Railroad Experience, Especially In Locomotive Operation. This Experience Can Be Gained Through Working In Other Positions At The Railroad Or Through Training At A Recognized Railroad School.
