- Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the company's purchasing processes and make recommendations for improvement.
- Represent Union Pacific Railroad at industry events and conferences to stay informed on the latest developments in supply chain management.
Bachelor's Degree In Business, Supply Chain Management, Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Purchasing Or Procurement, Preferably In The Transportation Or Logistics Industry.
Knowledge Of Supply Chain Management Principles And Practices, Including Vendor Management And Contract Negotiation.
Proficiency In Using Procurement Software And Systems, Such As Sap Or Oracle.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Make Sound Decisions And Recommendations Based On Data And Market Trends.
