Knowledge Of Railroad Signal Systems: A Signal Maintainer At Union Pacific Railroad Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Railroad Signal Systems, Including Wayside Signals, Grade Crossing Signals, And Interlocking Signals.
Electrical And Mechanical Skills: This Job Requires Strong Electrical And Mechanical Skills To Troubleshoot And Repair Signal Equipment.
Familiarity With Federal Regulations: Union Pacific Railroad Operates Under Strict Federal Regulations, So A Signal Maintainer Must Be Familiar With And Comply With These Regulations To Ensure Safety And Compliance.
