- Perform routine maintenance tasks on railroad tracks and related infrastructure.
- Inspect tracks for any signs of damage or wear and report any concerns to supervisors.
- Repair and replace damaged or worn track components, including rails, ties, and switches.
- Operate heavy machinery, such as backhoes and track maintenance vehicles, to complete maintenance tasks.
- Conduct track inspections after severe weather or other potential hazards.
- Ensure all equipment and tools are properly maintained and in good working condition.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations while working on the tracks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations.
- Keep accurate records of maintenance work and report any issues or concerns to superiors.
- Continuously monitor and assess track conditions to identify potential hazards and address them promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and dispatch, to coordinate maintenance and repair projects.
- Participate in training programs to learn new techniques and technologies related to track maintenance.

Prior Experience In Track Maintenance Or Related Field
High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Knowledge Of Railroad Safety Regulations And Procedures
Physical Ability To Perform Manual Labor And Work Outdoors In Various Weather Conditions
Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints, Schematics, And Technical Manuals Related To Track Maintenance.
