Job Description

The United States Department of Defense is looking for an experienced, motivated, and organized Contract Specialist to join our team. As our Contract Specialist, you will be responsible for managing contracts and ensuring the successful completion of contracts. You will be the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries and will be responsible for ensuring that contractual obligations are met and managed in an efficient and timely manner. To be successful in this role, you should have a demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders, possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and have an in-depth understanding of contract law and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). Additionally, you should have experience in developing and negotiating contracts, and have the ability to anticipate and prevent contractual issues. A bachelor's degree in business administration, law, or a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  2. Act as the primary point of contact for all contract-related inquiries and ensure timely management of contract obligations.
  3. Work with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful completion of contracts.
  4. Anticipate and prevent contractual issues while ensuring compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  5. Maintain accurate records of all contracts for future reference.
  6. Monitor progress of contracts to ensure timely completion.
  7. Provide advice and guidance to stakeholders on all contract-related matters.
  8. Keep abreast of changes in relevant regulations and adjust contracts accordingly.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Address any contractual disputes or discrepancies in a timely manner.

Compensation

According to JobzMall, the average salary range for a Contract Specialist in Washington, DC, USA is $50,000 to $95,000 per year.
