Logistics Services Representative
The Logistics Services Representative position will coordinate the shipment of iron and steel products by truck from all U.S. Steel producing facilities and, as required, joint ventures, outside processors, and outside warehouses in a timely and cost effective manner that serves the needs of our customers and the Corporation. Job Responsibilities: Secures truck equipment to ship material to meet mill and customer’s requirements. Expedites the movement of hot loads if the assigned carriers cannot handle the loads in a timely fashion. Monitors aged bulletins by mill and secures carrier to ship these loads. Coordinates weekend or late night shipments. Evaluates allocations for specific mill. Analyze data to recognize trends in shipping performance.
Two years experience in similar field or industry is required.
Working knowledge of U.S. Steel Plant and systems functionality is required.
