  1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in game design and development, including but not limited to game mechanics, storytelling, and programming.
  2. Conduct research in the field of game studies, and publish scholarly articles and papers.
  3. Mentor and advise students in their academic and career pursuits in game design and development.
  4. Develop and revise curriculum for game design and development courses, staying current with industry trends and advancements.
  5. Participate in departmental and university committees and meetings, contributing to the overall goals and objectives of the University of Arizona.
  6. Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to integrate game design and development into interdisciplinary programs and initiatives.
  7. Maintain a high level of expertise in game design and development, staying current with emerging technologies and techniques.
  8. Engage in community outreach and professional development activities, representing the University of Arizona as a leading institution in game design and development.
  9. Participate in the recruitment and retention of students by attending admissions events and promoting the program to potential students.
  10. Serve as a role model and mentor to students, encouraging their creativity and professional growth in the field of game design and development.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Game Design And Development Industry, With A Strong Portfolio Of Published Games Or Projects.

  • A Master's Or Phd Degree In Game Design, Computer Science, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Proven Experience In Teaching And Mentoring Students In Game Design And Development, Preferably At The University Level.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Game Design Principles, Game Engines, And Programming Languages Commonly Used In Game Development.

  • Demonstrated Research And Scholarly Activity In The Field Of Game Design And Development, Including Publications, Conference Presentations, And Grant Funding.
