Job Qualifications
  • Phd In Evolutionary Biology Or A Closely Related Field: The Ideal Candidate For Assistant Professor Of Evolutionary Biology At University Of Arkansas Should Have A Phd In Evolutionary Biology Or A Closely Related Field, Such As Genetics, Ecology, Or Zoology. This Demonstrates A Strong Foundation In The Core Principles Of Evolutionary Biology And The Ability To Conduct Independent Research In This Field.

  • Research Experience In Evolutionary Biology: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Research Background In Evolutionary Biology, With A Record Of Published Papers And Presentations At Conferences. This Will Demonstrate The Ability To Conduct High-Quality Research And Contribute To The Scientific Community.

  • Teaching Experience In Evolutionary Biology: The Assistant Professor Will Be Responsible For Teaching Undergraduate And Graduate Courses In Evolutionary Biology. Therefore, Having Prior Teaching Experience In This Subject, Preferably At The University Level, Is Essential. This Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Develop And Lead Independent Research Programs.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Assistant Professor Will Be Expected To Collaborate With Colleagues, Mentor Graduate Students, And Engage With The Broader Scientific Community. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Building And Maintaining Successful Relationships, Both Within And Outside The University.
