  1. Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as tractors, excavators, bulldozers, and other construction equipment on campus.
  2. Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  3. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with equipment and make necessary repairs.
  4. Follow all safety protocols and regulations while operating equipment and handling hazardous materials.
  5. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to coordinate work schedules and prioritize tasks.
  6. Keep detailed records of equipment maintenance and repair activities.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote a safe and productive environment.
  8. Assist in the training and supervision of new equipment operators.
  9. Monitor inventory levels and report any equipment deficiencies or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.
  10. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and suggest ways to optimize equipment performance and efficiency.
  11. Adhere to all university policies and procedures related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  12. Represent the university in a positive and professional manner while interacting with students, faculty, and staff.
  13. Attend regular training sessions and workshops to stay updated on new equipment and maintenance techniques.
  14. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations and laws related to equipment operation and maintenance.
  15. Take on additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum Of 3 Years Experience Operating And Maintaining Heavy Equipment Such As Bulldozers, Excavators, And Loaders.

  • Knowledge Of Safety Protocols And Procedures For Heavy Equipment Operation, Including Proper Use Of Personal Protective Equipment.

  • Ability To Troubleshoot And Diagnose Mechanical Issues With Heavy Equipment And Perform Necessary Repairs And Maintenance.

  • Possession Of A Valid Cdl And Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Test.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills, As Well As The Ability To Follow Instructions And Work Independently.
