  1. Oversee the overall management of a designated residential area, including student conduct, facilities, and community development.
  2. Develop and implement programs and initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive living and learning environment for students.
  3. Act as a mentor and role model for students, providing guidance and support for academic and personal success.
  4. Collaborate with campus resources to address student needs and concerns, and refer students to appropriate resources as needed.
  5. Serve as a liaison between students, staff, and university administration, facilitating communication and addressing any issues or conflicts that may arise.
  6. Train, supervise, and evaluate a team of Resident Assistants to ensure a high level of support and programming for students.
  7. Utilize and maintain student and residential data systems to track and monitor student progress and identify areas for improvement.
  8. Implement and enforce university policies and procedures related to residential living.
  9. Develop and manage a budget for the designated residential area, ensuring responsible use of resources.
  10. Participate in departmental and campus-wide initiatives and committees to contribute to the overall student experience at UC Berkeley.

Job Qualifications
  • A Master's Degree In Student Affairs, Higher Education, Or A Related Field.

  • At Least 3-5 Years Of Experience In Residence Life Or Student Affairs, Preferably In A University Setting.

  • Demonstrated Knowledge And Understanding Of Student Development Theories And Practices.

  • Strong Leadership Skills And The Ability To Effectively Manage And Supervise A Team Of Resident Assistants And Other Staff Members.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Build Strong Relationships With Students, Faculty, And Other Campus Stakeholders.
