- Provide individual and group counseling services to students in a compassionate and non-judgmental manner.
- Conduct intake assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and goals.
- Collaborate with other counselors and mental health professionals to ensure comprehensive care for students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions and progress notes.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and best practices in counseling and mental health.
- Create and facilitate workshops and support groups on various mental health topics.
- Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff on mental health concerns and available resources.
- Work closely with campus partners, such as academic advisors and health services, to provide holistic support for students.
- Advocate for the mental health needs of students and promote a culture of mental wellness on campus.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
- Adhere to ethical standards and guidelines set by the American Psychological Association and other relevant organizations.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
- Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students seeking counseling services.
- Handle crisis situations and refer students to appropriate resources when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall mission and goals of the university and counseling center.
Doctoral Degree In Counseling Psychology From An Accredited Institution.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Providing Counseling Services In A University Setting.
Licensure As A Psychologist In The State Of California.
Strong Knowledge And Experience In Providing Culturally Sensitive Counseling To A Diverse Student Population.
Ability To Collaborate With Other Campus Departments And Resources To Support Students' Mental Health And Well-Being.
