Job Description

At the University of California, Riverside, we are looking for an excellent and creative Marketing Copywriter to join our team. This role requires an individual who is an exceptional storyteller and able to use their impressive writing skills to develop compelling copy for various marketing campaigns. The ideal candidate should have a passion for research, a deep understanding of the University’s mission, and the ability to write engaging copy that resonates with our target audience.To be successful in this role, you should have an undergraduate degree in marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field. You should also possess at least three years of professional experience in copywriting, marketing, or a related field. You should have a superb command of the English language, as well as strong interpersonal and analytical skills, and a keen eye for detail.If you are an experienced copywriter who is ready to bring your creative skills to the University of California, Riverside, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Write compelling copy for various marketing campaigns that communicates the University’s mission and resonates with target audiences.
  2. Research topics related to marketing and communications to develop innovative and creative content.
  3. Utilize strong interpersonal and analytical skills to identify customer needs and preferences.
  4. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging.
  5. Monitor industry trends and stay up to date with best practices in copywriting and marketing.
  6. Ensure all copy is written with a keen eye for detail and in adherence to organizational standards.
  7. Proofread and edit existing copy to ensure accuracy and clarity.
  8. Maintain up-to-date records of marketing campaigns and performance data.
