Job Description

The University of California, Riverside is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to serve as a Payroll and Events Assistant. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of payroll, event coordination, and other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, a proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and experience in working with payroll and event coordination. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a vibrant and diverse academic environment and enjoy a meaningful role that contributes to the success of the university.

Responsibilities:

  1. Process payroll for university staff and faculty in a timely and accurate manner.
  2. Coordinate all aspects of university events, including scheduling, venue selection, budgeting, and participant registration.
  3. Maintain accurate records of payroll and event information.
  4. Assist in other administrative tasks, such as filing and data entry.
  5. Maintain excellent communication with faculty, staff, and other university personnel.
  6. Adapt to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful event planning and execution.
  8. Monitor event progress and ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
  9. Provide timely and accurate reports to university leadership.
