Job Description

The University of California, San Diego seeks an experienced and talented Purchasing Manager-Supply Chain Management to join our team. We are looking for a professional with a proven track record in supply chain management and the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors. The Purchasing Manager-Supply Chain Management will be responsible for purchasing the highest quality goods and services at the most competitive prices while maintaining compliance with University purchasing policies and regulations.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management, excellent problem solving and communication skills, and the ability to negotiate effectively with vendors. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is required. Knowledge of business software systems, such as ERP systems, and a commitment to customer service are also essential. The successful candidate must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to build relationships with vendors and other departments.
