
Senior Instructional Designer
The University of California, San Diego is seeking a talented, passionate Senior Instructional Designer to join our innovative and diverse learning environment. The Senior Instructional Designer will be responsible for developing and designing course instruction and training materials that enhance student learning outcomes, create engaging learning experiences, and meet the needs of faculty and students. In this role, you will collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to develop course content and instruction, supported with appropriate media and technology. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong knowledge of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and educational technology. The ideal candidate has a commitment to creating engaging learning experiences, a strong customer service orientation, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Required Qualifications:• Advanced degree in instructional design, education, or related field • 5 years of experience in instructional design, including course design and development, and developing online and blended learning solutions • Experience working with faculty and other stakeholders • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles • Proficient in the use of educational technology and web-based tools • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills • Creative problem-solving and troubleshooting skills • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and customer service
