As a Library Technical Assistant I, you will play a crucial role in supporting the daily operations of our library, ensuring that our resources are accessible and organized for our community.   1. Greet and welcome students, faculty, and visitors to the University of Central Florida library.
  2. Provide excellent customer service by assisting patrons with locating and accessing library resources.
  3. Maintain the organization and upkeep of library materials, including shelving, sorting, and re-shelving books and other materials.
  4. Utilize library systems and technology to check out and check in materials, as well as assist patrons with using library computers and printers.
  5. Collaborate with other library staff to develop and implement new processes and procedures for streamlining daily operations.
  6. Assist with collection maintenance, including inventory, weeding, and processing new materials.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to library systems and technology.
  8. Stay up-to-date on library policies, procedures, and resources in order to provide accurate and helpful information to patrons.
  9. Communicate effectively with patrons and colleagues, both in person and through written correspondence.
  10. Adhere to all library and university policies and procedures, including those related to privacy and confidentiality.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
  12. Proactively identify and report any issues or concerns related to library operations or resources.
  13. Maintain a neat and orderly work area, including keeping shelves and workstations clean and organized.
  14. Assist with special projects and events, such as library orientations and book displays.
  15. Act as a positive representative of the University of Central Florida library and promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all patrons.
