1. Provide legal advice and support to the University of Delaware community, including students, faculty, and staff.
2. Conduct legal research and analysis to assist in decision-making processes.
3. Draft and review contracts, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with legal requirements.
4. Advise on legal matters related to academic programs, student affairs, employment, intellectual property, and other areas.
5. Stay current on relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in higher education.
6. Collaborate with university departments to develop and implement risk management strategies.
7. Represent the university in legal proceedings, including negotiations and litigation.
8. Serve as a resource for faculty and staff on legal issues, providing training and guidance as needed.
