  1. Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in graphic design, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of design principles, techniques, and software applications.
  2. Create and maintain a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and professional development.
  3. Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support for their academic and career goals.
  4. Conduct research and contribute to the advancement of the field of graphic design through publications, presentations, and collaborations.
  5. Participate in curriculum development and assessment, ensuring that the graphic design program remains current and relevant to industry standards.
  6. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.
  7. Serve on committees and participate in departmental and university service activities.
  8. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in graphic design, and incorporate this knowledge into teaching and research.
  9. Engage in professional development activities to enhance teaching and research skills.
  10. Act as a representative of the university and the graphic design program, maintaining positive relationships with external partners and organizations.
  11. Contribute to the recruitment and retention of students through marketing and outreach efforts.
  12. Serve as a role model and leader for students, colleagues, and the broader design community.

Job Qualifications
  • A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Graphic Design Or A Related Field, With A Preference For Candidates With A Terminal Degree Such As An Mfa Or Phd.

  • Demonstrated Excellence In Teaching And A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Teaching Experience In A Higher Education Setting.

  • A Strong Portfolio Of Professional Design Work, Showcasing A Range Of Skills And Expertise In Various Mediums.

  • Active Engagement In Research And Scholarship, With A Record Of Publications, Presentations, And/Or Creative Projects In The Field Of Graphic Design.

  • Experience And Proficiency In Using Industry-Standard Design Software And Technology, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Current Trends And Best Practices In The Field.
