
Clinical Coordinator - Pediatrics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate and professional Clinical Coordinator for our Pediatrics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine department. The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong passion for patient care and is dedicated to providing exceptional service. Working closely with the department's physicians, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative, clinical and operational activities. The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Administration, Business Administration or a related field; at least two years of experience in a clinical setting; a thorough understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory standards; and excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for patients, families, physicians, and other medical staff.
- Coordinate patient visits and ensure that all necessary paperwork and documents are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor patient care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other medical staff to facilitate efficient care.
- Manage and oversee daily operations for the Pediatrics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine department.
- Provide administrative support for physicians and other staff members.
- Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure quality patient care.
- Assess patient records and medical charts to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
- Maintain accurate records of patient care activities.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field
At Least Years Of Relevant Experience
Knowledge Of Clinical Care Coordination Principles
Experience In Pediatric Pulmonary And Sleep Medicine
Ability To Work In A Team Environment
Knowledge Of Electronic Health Records Systems
Knowledge Of The University Of Mississippi Medical Center Policies And Procedures.
