Clinical Coordinator - Pediatrics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced, compassionate and professional Clinical Coordinator for our Pediatrics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine department. Working closely with the department's physicians, the Clinical Coordinator will be responsible for assisting with a variety of administrative, clinical and operational activities. The successful candidate will possess the following required qualifications: a Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Medical Administration, Business Administration or a related field; at least two years of experience in a clinical setting; a thorough understanding of healthcare operations and regulatory standards; and excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities:

1. Serve as the primary contact for patients, families, physicians, and other medical staff.
2. Coordinate patient visits and ensure that all necessary paperwork and documents are completed in a timely manner.
3. Monitor patient care plans and ensure compliance with regulatory and clinical standards.
4. Communicate effectively with physicians and other medical staff to facilitate efficient care.
5. Manage and oversee daily operations for the Pediatrics Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine department.
6. Provide administrative support for physicians and other staff members.
7. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and processes to ensure quality patient care.
8. Assess patient records and medical charts to ensure accuracy and completeness of information.
9. Maintain accurate records of patient care activities.
10. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow.
