
Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Emergency
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Emergency to join our team and provide quality, attentive care to our pediatric patients. As a Nurse Practitioner - Pediatric Emergency, you will use your advanced clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with a variety of medical conditions in the emergency department. To be successful in this role, you must have a passion for providing quality care and have the skill and commitment to deliver the highest level of patient care.Qualifications for this position include:• Licensed Nurse Practitioner in the state of Mississippi • Master’s Degree in Nursing • National certification as a Nurse Practitioner • Pediatric experience in an emergency department setting • Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals • Excellent communication and organizational skills • Commitment to delivering quality patient care • Knowledge of pediatric medical conditions and treatments • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks • Current CPR certification
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat pediatric patients in the emergency department.
- Deliver exceptional patient care in line with established standards.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of pediatric medical conditions and treatments.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient progress and document changes in medical charts.
- Educate patients and families about diagnosis, treatments, and preventive care.
- Maintain current CPR certification.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide clear and detailed documentation of patient care.
Current
Unrestricted License As An Advanced Practice Registered Nurse In The State Of Mississippi
Certification As A Pediatric Nurse Practitioner From Either The American Nurses Credentialing Center (Ancc) Or The Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (Pncb)
Master’s Degree With A Major In Nursing From An Accredited College Or University
At Least Two Years Of Pediatric Emergency Nursing Experience
