Job Description

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Patient Care Technician at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. In this role, you will provide basic nursing care and support to patients under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to delivering patient-centered care and excellent communication skills.To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, as well as a valid Mississippi State CNA license or equivalent certification. Previous patient care experience in a hospital setting is strongly preferred. A strong knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of basic medical procedures and treatments are also essential.We are looking for someone who is passionate about providing excellent patient care and is able to effectively communicate with patients and their families. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide basic nursing care and support to patients under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
  2. Demonstrate a strong commitment to delivering patient-centered care and excellent communication skills.
  3. Ensure compliance with Mississippi State CNA license or equivalent certification.
  4. Utilize a strong knowledge of medical terminology and an understanding of basic medical procedures and treatments.
  5. Provide excellent patient care and effectively communicate with patients and their families.
  6. Work well in a fast-paced environment and be comfortable working with a diverse patient population.
  7. Maintain a professional attitude and the highest standards of patient care.
  8. Assist with procedures and treatments as needed.
  9. Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their stay.
  10. Participate in continuing education and training programs as needed.
