Pharmacy Technician

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our highly esteemed healthcare team. The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, ensuring accuracy of medication orders, and providing support to the Pharmacy Department's staff.Qualifications for this position include: a high school diploma or equivalent, a current certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, a valid Pharmacy Technician License, and at least one year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy environment. Responsibilities:

1. Provide excellent customer service to patients and other pharmacy staff members.
2. Accurately enter medication orders into the pharmacy system.
3. Assist with filling and dispensing medications.
4. Follow all pharmacy regulations and procedures.
5. Maintain current knowledge of all drugs and medications.
6. Assist pharmacists with administrative tasks as needed.
7. Answer questions from patients and other staff members regarding medications and their effects.
8. Assist in stocking shelves with medications.
9. Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and promptly.
10. Perform audits of pharmacy inventory.
