Psychometrist

The University of Mississippi Medical Center is looking for an experienced and compassionate Psychometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position should be a highly organized individual with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing the highest quality of care. The Psychometrist will be responsible for conducting and interpreting psychological tests for patients and other clinical areas.To be successful in this role, applicants must have a Master’s degree in Psychology, be licensed as a Psychologist in Mississippi, and have two years of experience as a Psychometrist. Candidates must also possess strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work independently. Responsibilities:

1. Administer and interpret psychological tests for patients and other clinical areas.
2. Design and develop appropriate tests and assessments for different types of patients.
3. Utilize a variety of psychological testing instruments to assess cognitive, intellectual, and emotional functioning.
4. Interpret test results and provide feedback to physicians, counselors, and other mental health professionals.
5. Collaborate with other clinicians to develop treatment plans and strategies.
6. Maintain accurate records of all tests conducted and results.
7. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
8. Attend workshops and training seminars to stay up-to-date with the latest research and techniques.
9. Provide clinical supervision of psychology interns and medical students.
10. Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and validity of results.
