
Respiratory Therapist
The University of Mississippi Medical Center is looking for a dedicated and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide comprehensive respiratory care services to patients of all ages in a variety of settings. You will assess patient’s condition, develop and implement treatment plans, monitor and adjust treatments, and educate patients and families. If you have the necessary qualifications and experience, we would love to hear from you.The ideal candidate for the Respiratory Therapist position will possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited college or university, and must be licensed as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Mississippi. You must also have at least one year of experience in a healthcare setting and have current CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. In addition, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills, be able to work independently, and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patient’s respiratory condition and develop and implement appropriate treatment plans.
- Monitor and adjust treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on respiratory care topics.
- Maintain accurate medical records and document all treatments and patient progress.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient care is coordinated.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge and proficiency of respiratory care technology and procedures.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain current CPR and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Work independently and in a team setting.
- Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to generate reports and complete other administrative tasks.
