  1. Develop and deliver engaging lectures on various topics related to architecture.
  2. Create and oversee hands-on projects that allow students to apply their knowledge and skills.
  3. Provide real-world experiences and examples to enhance students' understanding of the field.
  4. Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to share their ideas and perspectives.
  5. Mentor and guide students in their academic and professional development.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements to ensure students are receiving relevant and current information.
  7. Evaluate student work and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.
  8. Collaborate with other faculty members to develop curriculum and course materials.
  9. Participate in department meetings and professional development opportunities.
  10. Serve as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism and ethical behavior in the field of architecture.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Architecture Or Related Field: A Strong Foundation In The Field Of Architecture Is Essential For An Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty Position At Unc Charlotte. A Master's Degree In Architecture Or A Related Field Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise That Is Necessary For Teaching At The University Level.

  • Professional Experience In Architecture: Along With A Graduate Degree, Candidates Should Also Have Significant Professional Experience In The Field Of Architecture. This Practical Experience Will Bring Real-World Knowledge And Perspective To The Classroom And Enhance The Learning Experience For Students.

  • Teaching Experience: While Not Always Required, Previous Teaching Experience Is A Highly Desirable Qualification For An Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty Position. This Experience Can Range From Leading Design Studios To Teaching Specific Courses In Architecture, And It Showcases A Candidate's Ability To Effectively Communicate And Engage With Students.

  • Knowledge Of Current Industry Trends And Technology: The Field Of Architecture Is Constantly Evolving, And It's Important For Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty To Stay Updated On The Latest Industry Trends, Techniques, And Technology. Candidates Who Demonstrate A Strong Understanding And Proficiency In These Areas Will Be Better Equipped To Prepare Students For The Real-World Challenges Of The Profession.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Adjunct/Part-Time Faculty At Unc Charlotte Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate And Engage With Students, Colleagues, And Other Stakeholders. This Requires Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, As Well As The Ability To Work Collaboratively And Build Relationships Within The University Community.
