  1. Provide chairside assistance to dentists during various dental procedures.
  2. Prepare treatment rooms and equipment prior to patient appointments.
  3. Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist.
  4. Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
  5. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
  6. Assist in scheduling and managing patient appointments.
  7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  8. Communicate effectively with patients, dentists, and other team members.
  9. Follow infection control and safety protocols to ensure the wellbeing of patients and staff.
  10. Handle administrative tasks such as billing, insurance claims, and inventory management.
  11. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and expand your knowledge and skills in the dental field.
  12. Provide exceptional customer service and create a welcoming and friendly environment for patients.
  13. Collaborate with other dental team members to provide comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  14. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
  15. Promote the University of Pennsylvania's dental services and represent the institution in a professional manner.
