- Develop and implement curriculum for courses in Counselor Education, ensuring alignment with industry standards and best practices.
- Teach and facilitate engaging and interactive classes, utilizing a variety of teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles.
- Mentor and advise students, providing guidance and support in their academic and professional development.
- Conduct research in the field of counseling and contribute to the advancement of the discipline through publications and presentations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously improve and update course materials and program offerings.
- Evaluate student performance and provide feedback to promote growth and improvement.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in counseling techniques, incorporating them into curriculum as appropriate.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for students, demonstrating professionalism, ethical standards, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
- Participate in departmental and university meetings, committees, and events.
- Actively engage in recruitment and retention efforts to attract and retain qualified students in the Counselor Education program.
Doctoral Degree In Counselor Education Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
At Least 3 Years Of Teaching Experience In Higher Education, Preferably In A Counselor Education Program.
Active Membership In Relevant Professional Organizations, Such As Aca Or Asca.
Demonstrated Expertise In A Specific Counseling Specialty, Such As School Counseling Or Marriage And Family Therapy.
Experience With Online Teaching And Curriculum Development, As Well As A Strong Understanding Of Technology And Its Integration Into The Counseling Field.
