- Lead and oversee all aspects of construction projects on the University of Rhode Island campus, including planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution.
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including university staff, contractors, architects, and engineers.
- Manage and coordinate project teams, delegating tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
- Monitor and track project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or challenges that may arise.
- Communicate project updates and status reports to university leadership and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and codes throughout the construction process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of construction projects.
- Develop and manage project budgets, including tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Participate in the selection and negotiation process for contractors and vendors.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
- Mentor and develop junior members of the construction team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in construction project management.
- Collaborate with other university departments to ensure that construction projects align with overall campus goals and objectives.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment for all team members.
Bachelor's Degree In Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Project Management, Preferably In The Construction Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Construction Methods, Materials, And Building Codes.
Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Manage And Motivate A Team.
Proficiency In Project Management Software, Such As Primavera P6 Or Microsoft Project.
