Our Health Information Management team is currently seeking a talented individual to join us as a HIM Document Imaging Assistant I. In this role, you will assist in the organization, scanning and indexing of medical records into our electronic health record system. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated individual with strong computer skills and a passion for healthcare.   1. Organize and scan medical records into the electronic health record system accurately and efficiently.
  2. Ensure that all documents are indexed and labeled correctly for easy retrieval.
  3. Maintain confidentiality and security of all patient information and records.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the Health Information Management team to ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  5. Use computer software and systems to manage and track scanned records and maintain accurate records of work performed.
  6. Provide support to healthcare providers by responding to requests for medical records in a timely manner.
  7. Follow departmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines.
  8. Communicate effectively with team members and superiors to provide updates on progress and identify any issues or concerns.
  9. Demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and implementing new methods to increase efficiency.
  10. Uphold the values and mission of the University of Rochester by providing exceptional service and contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In Document Imaging Or Electronic Health Record (Ehr) System.

  • Knowledge Of Medical Terminology And Basic Understanding Of Health Information Management Principles.

  • Proficient In Computer Skills, Including Microsoft Office And Imaging Software.

  • Strong Attention To Detail And Ability To Maintain Confidentiality Of Sensitive Medical Information.
