  1. Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Spanish language, literature, and culture.
  2. Develop and implement engaging and innovative curriculum that aligns with the university’s academic standards.
  3. Mentor and advise students on their academic and career goals.
  4. Conduct research in the field of Spanish language and contribute to the academic community through publications and presentations.
  5. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Spanish program and promote interdisciplinary learning.
  6. Participate in departmental and university committees and initiatives.
  7. Create a welcoming and inclusive learning environment for students from diverse backgrounds.
  8. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
  9. Stay updated on current trends and advancements in the field of Spanish language and incorporate them into teaching.
  10. Maintain office hours and be available for student consultations and support.
  11. Participate in faculty development opportunities and contribute to the overall growth of the university.
  12. Adhere to university policies and procedures and maintain professional ethics at all times.
  13. Represent the university and the Spanish department at professional conferences and events.
  14. Actively engage in community outreach and service activities related to Spanish language and culture.

Job Qualifications
  • A Ph.d. In Spanish Or A Related Field With A Strong Emphasis On Language Teaching And Literature.

  • Demonstrated Fluency In Spanish And English, With The Ability To Effectively Teach And Communicate In Both Languages.

  • A Strong Publication Record In Spanish Literature And/Or Language Pedagogy, With A Focus On Contemporary Issues And Cultural Diversity.

  • Proven Experience In Teaching At The University Level, With A Commitment To Student-Centered And Innovative Instruction.

  • A Collaborative And Interdisciplinary Approach To Teaching, With A Willingness To Actively Participate In Departmental And University Initiatives And Committees.
