  1. Develop and implement strategic fundraising plans to support the overall goals and objectives of the athletic department.
  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including alumni, community members, and corporate partners.
  3. Create and maintain a donor database, tracking all fundraising activities and progress towards goals.
  4. Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, including donor receptions, golf tournaments, and other special events.
  5. Work closely with the Athletic Director and other senior staff to align fundraising efforts with the department's overall vision and goals.
  6. Collaborate with coaches and staff to identify specific needs and priorities for fundraising, and develop strategies to meet those needs.
  7. Coordinate and manage donor stewardship efforts, including recognition programs and regular communication with donors.
  8. Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.
  9. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in fundraising and donor relations, and make recommendations for improvement.
  10. Serve as a spokesperson for the athletic department and effectively communicate its mission and vision to potential donors and the public.
  11. Manage and mentor a team of development staff, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities.
  12. Uphold the university's values and policies, ensuring ethical and responsible fundraising practices.
  13. Collaborate with other departments within the university, such as the development office and alumni relations, to coordinate fundraising efforts and maximize resources.
  14. Represent the university at community events and engage with key stakeholders to promote the athletic department and its fundraising efforts.
  15. Maintain a strong understanding of NCAA rules and regulations related to fundraising and donor relations.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Sports Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Development And Fundraising Within The Athletics Department At A Division I University.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successfully Securing Major Gifts And Cultivating Relationships With High-Level Donors.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Ncaa Rules And Regulations, As Well As Fundraising Best Practices.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Collaborate With Coaches, Staff, And Alumni To Achieve Fundraising Goals.
