- Develop and deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and workshops in the fields of Physics and Astronomy.
- Create and implement course materials and assessments that align with program objectives and student learning outcomes.
- Provide academic advising and mentorship to undergraduate and graduate students in Physics and Astronomy.
- Conduct original research in the field of Physics and/or Astronomy and publish findings in reputable journals and conferences.
- Secure external funding through grant applications to support research projects.
- Collaborate with colleagues within the department and across disciplines to foster a dynamic and interdisciplinary research environment.
- Participate in departmental and university committees and initiatives to contribute to the overall academic community.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with developments in the fields of Physics and Astronomy.
- Participate in recruitment and retention efforts for the department and actively contribute to the diversity and inclusion initiatives of the university.
- Serve as a representative of the department and university at conferences, events, and other professional settings.
- Maintain and foster positive relationships with students, colleagues, and other stakeholders in the department and university.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards in teaching, research, and service.
A Doctoral Degree In Physics Or Astronomy From A Reputable University.
Proven Experience In Teaching Physics And Astronomy Courses At The Undergraduate And Graduate Levels.
A Strong Research Record With Publications In Top-Tier Journals And The Ability To Secure External Funding.
Demonstrated Expertise In A Specialized Area Of Physics Or Astronomy, Such As Astrophysics, Quantum Mechanics, Or Particle Physics.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Colleagues And Mentor Students.
