Systems Administrator

This position will join the Texas Advanced Computing Center(TACC) as part of the Technical Infrastructure team. The position will provide leadership and technical expertise to TACC's advanced computing activities, supporting and enhancing TACC's world class supercomputing resources. Serve as part of a Technical Infrastructure team tasked with supporting infrastructure needs of multiple projects. This position will be assigned specific projects such as working with our web development team to develop a highly available website, and developing monitoring systems using such scripting languages as python, or Puppet to monitor health of TACC resources. Work with members of the systems group to design, install and operate Linux and Windows computer servers. Provide support to current systems administration staff on computing systems running Windows and Linux. Work with and respond to emergency situations involving system problems, downtime and security breaches.
