
Assistant Athletics Trainer

- Provide medical care and treatment for student-athletes in accordance with industry best practices and university policies.
- Assist in the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of athletic injuries.
- Collaborate with coaches, athletic trainers, and medical staff to develop and implement injury prevention and treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records for all student-athletes.
- Communicate effectively with student-athletes, coaches, and medical staff regarding injury status and treatment plans.
- Educate student-athletes on injury prevention, nutrition, and other aspects of sports medicine.
- Attend all practices, games, and team events to provide medical coverage and support.
- Assist in the maintenance and inventory of athletic training equipment and supplies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure the health and well-being of student-athletes.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and developments in sports medicine and attend relevant conferences and workshops.
- Serve as a positive role model for student-athletes and uphold the values and standards of the university and athletic department.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment within the athletic department.
- Uphold the confidentiality of medical information and maintain the privacy of student-athletes.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer or Athletic Director.
Bachelor's Degree In Athletic Training Or Related Field.
Current Certification By The National Athletic Trainers' Association Board Of Certification (Nataboc).
Minimum Of 1-2 Years Of Experience In A Collegiate Or Professional Sports Setting.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With Athletes, Coaches, And Other Athletic Personnel.
Proficient In The Use Of Athletic Training Equipment And Software, As Well As Knowledge Of Injury Prevention, Treatment, And Rehabilitation Techniques.
