
Director Sports Nutrition/Dietitian

This role will be responsible for creating and implementing nutrition programs tailored to the specific needs of our student-athletes, ensuring they have the fuel and knowledge they need to perform at their best. - Develop and implement nutrition programs for all student-athletes, taking into account their individual needs, goals, and dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with coaches, trainers, and other members of the athletic department to ensure that nutrition programs align with training and competition schedules.
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of student-athletes' dietary habits and make recommendations for improvements.
- Provide personalized nutrition counseling and education to student-athletes, including guidance on meal planning, hydration, and nutrient timing.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in sports nutrition and incorporate this knowledge into program development.
- Create and maintain relationships with local vendors and suppliers to ensure high-quality, nutritious food options are available to student-athletes.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sports nutrition program, including budgeting, purchasing, and scheduling.
- Train and supervise a team of sports nutrition interns and volunteers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Foster a positive and supportive environment for student-athletes, promoting healthy eating habits and positive body image.
- Serve as a resource for coaches, trainers, and other staff members on nutrition-related topics.
- Keep accurate records of student-athlete nutrition assessments, counseling sessions, and program outcomes.
- Represent the university at conferences and events related to sports nutrition and dietetics.
- Adhere to all relevant regulations and guidelines, including those set by the NCAA and other governing bodies.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the sports nutrition program to ensure it meets the needs and goals of the athletic department.
- Act as a leader and role model for student-athletes, promoting the values of teamwork, dedication, and healthy living.
Bachelor's Degree In Nutrition, Dietetics, Or A Related Field From An Accredited Institution.
Registered Dietitian (Rd) Certification From The Commission On Dietetic Registration.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience Working In A Sports Nutrition Setting, Preferably At A Collegiate Or Professional Level.
Strong Knowledge Of Current Sports Nutrition Research, Trends, And Best Practices.
Experience Managing And Supervising A Team Of Sports Dietitians And/Or Nutritionists.
