
Science Writer
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Science Writer to join the University of Utah's Communications team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting engaging, accurate, and accessible content that communicates the University's scientific research, discoveries, and academic programs to a broad audience. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in science and communication, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to translate complex scientific information into engaging stories. If you have a knack for storytelling and a passion for science, this position is for you. Required Qualifications: - A Bachelor's Degree in a related field, such as science, communications, journalism, or English- At least three years of professional experience in science writing and/or communications- Proven ability to write compelling and accurate stories about scientific research, discoveries, and academic programs- Strong technical writing skills and attention to detail- Excellent research, communication, and organizational skills- Ability to collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders
