Business Intelligence Support Specialist

Valero Energy is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team as a Business Intelligence Support Specialist. This individual will be responsible for providing technical support for the development and maintenance of our Business Intelligence (BI) systems, as well as providing user support to end-users. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of database structures and SQL queries, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities:

1. Provide technical support for the development and maintenance of the Business Intelligence (BI) systems.
2. Provide user support to end-users.
3. Monitor and troubleshoot BI systems.
4. Assist in the design, development, and deployment of BI systems.
5. Create and maintain documentation related to BI systems.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with external vendors for BI systems.
7. Create and execute SQL queries.
8. Monitor and analyze BI system performance.
9. Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in Business Intelligence.
10. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s BI systems.
11. Assist in the development of data warehousing strategies.
12. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s data sources.
13. Perform data modeling, mapping, and analysis.
14. Develop and implement data quality and governance standards.
15. Monitor and review data quality and accuracy.
16. Develop and implement technical solutions to improve data quality and accuracy.
17. Assist with the creation and maintenance of reports and dashboards.
18. Assist in the development of BI training materials. 19
