Job Description

Perform a variety of specialized signing, interpreting, transliterating, and communication services for Victor Valley College and its hearing impaired participants, including in academically technical areas such as the science labs and vocational courses. Maintain accurate records and contact log for signing services. Prepare a variety of specialized materials to advertise signing services. Facilitate admission, assessment, registration, financial aid, accommodation, and general services for all disabled students.

Job Qualifications
  • Minimum of 300 hours experience interpreting for the deaf and hard of hearing.

  • Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID)

  • Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) with a score of 4.0 or higher
