Occupational Health Nurse

At W. L. Gore & Associates, we are looking for an Occupational Health Nurse who will be responsible for providing comprehensive services to support the health and safety of our associates. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about promoting a safe and healthy work environment and is invested in the well-being of our associates.The successful candidate should have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and be registered with the State Board of Nursing. In addition, they should possess a minimum of two years of occupational health nursing experience, and have a background in environmental health, safety, and industrial hygiene principles. We are looking for an individual who has excellent interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively with a culturally diverse population. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

1. Ensure the health and safety of associates by providing comprehensive occupational health nursing services.
2. Participate in the development and implementation of safety protocols, policies, and procedures.
3. Educate associates on health and safety principles and best practices.
4. Monitor and assess compliance with workplace safety regulations.
5. Administer employee health examinations, vaccinations, and screenings.
6. Provide first aid and emergency response services.
7. Maintain up-to-date records of employee health and safety services.
8. Develop and implement health and safety programs and training sessions.
9. Respond to employee health and safety inquiries and concerns.
10. Perform regular workplace safety inspections.
