We are currently seeking a skilled Development Technician to join our Facilities Maintenance team. As a Development Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our stores, distribution centers, and other facilities.   1. Maintain and repair various equipment and systems within Walmart facilities, including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks to ensure the safety and functionality of all facilities.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise with equipment or systems, taking necessary measures to ensure timely and effective repairs.
  4. Collaborate with other members of the Facilities Maintenance team to coordinate and prioritize tasks and projects.
  5. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for both yourself and your colleagues.
  6. Utilize various tools and equipment to complete maintenance and repair tasks efficiently and effectively.
  7. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including equipment and supply inventory, work orders, and completed tasks.
  8. Communicate effectively with managers and other team members to report progress, discuss any issues or concerns, and seek guidance when needed.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices in facilities maintenance to continuously improve and enhance our processes and procedures.
  10. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing Walmart and providing exceptional customer service to our associates and customers.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Facilities Maintenance: Candidates Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Maintenance Practices, Including Plumbing, Electrical, And Hvac Systems. This Will Allow Them To Identify And Troubleshoot Issues With Various Facilities At Walmart.

  • Previous Maintenance Experience: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In A Maintenance Role Is Typically Required For This Position. Candidates Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Completing Maintenance Tasks And Projects.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Blueprints And Schematics: Development Technicians At Walmart May Be Responsible For Reading And Interpreting Blueprints Or Schematics To Understand The Layout Of Equipment And Facilities. Therefore, Candidates Should Have Experience In This Area.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Development Technician, Skilled Facilities Maintenance At Walmart, Candidates Will Need To Communicate Effectively With Managers, Colleagues, And Contractors. This Includes Providing Updates On Projects, Explaining Maintenance Plans, And Coordinating With Team Members.

  • Attention To Detail: Maintaining The Facilities At Walmart Requires A Keen Eye For Detail. Candidates Should Be Able To Identify Potential Issues And Proactively Address Them Before They Become Larger Problems. This Includes Conducting Regular Inspections And Keeping Detailed Records Of Maintenance Activities.
