  1. Lead and oversee the technical direction of CNN's news division.

  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement innovative technical solutions.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in media technology.
  5. Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals to ensure efficient and effective operations.

  7. Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field. A Strong Understanding Of The Media Industry And Current Events Is Essential For This Role.

  • Minimum Of 10 Years Experience In A Leadership Role At A Major News Organization. This Should Include Experience In Directing Live Broadcasts, Managing A Team, And Making Editorial Decisions.

  • Proven Expertise In Technical Operations, Including Knowledge Of Broadcast Equipment, Control Room Systems, And Live Production Workflows. This Role Requires The Ability To Troubleshoot Technical Issues And Make Quick Decisions Under Pressure.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Various Departments And Stakeholders. The Technical Director/Director Must Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Concisely With Producers, Reporters, And Other Team Members To Ensure A Smooth And Successful Broadcast.

  • Ability To Work Flexible Hours, Including Nights, Weekends, And Holidays. News Is A 24/7 Operation, And The Technical Director/Director Must Be Available To Work During Breaking News Situations Or Other Unexpected Events.
