
Animal Technician
At Washington State University, we are looking for a passionate and knowledgeable Animal Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care, a commitment to safety, and excellent organizational skills. This position requires a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members. The Animal Technician will be responsible for providing care and enrichment to a variety of species, while ensuring the health and safety of the animals, staff, and visitors as part of a research team.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in animal science, biology, or related field• At least two years of related animal care experience• Knowledge of principles and practices of aseptic technique• Ability to handle and restrain a variety of species• Work well both independently and in a team setting• Excellent communication and organizational skills• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds• Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysIf you are looking for an opportunity to join our team and make a difference in the lives of animals, we invite you to apply for the Animal Technician position.
