Job Description

Washington State University seeks an innovative, enthusiastic, and collaborative Manuscripts Librarian to join our dynamic and collegial library team. As the Manuscripts Librarian, this is an exciting opportunity to provide leadership in the management, curation, and promotion of the WSU Manuscripts, Archives and Special Collections (MASC). The successful candidate must have a strong dedication to the core values of service, collaboration, creativity, and excellence.The Manuscripts Librarian will have the chance to work with a diverse range of materials, as well as provide access to unpublished primary sources for researchers and students. The ideal candidate will have a thorough knowledge of archival principles, practices, and procedures; an understanding of current trends in archival and special collections management; and a commitment to developing and promoting the use of the MASC collections. We are searching for someone who is experienced in working with faculty, students, and the public, and is committed to promoting access to and use of the collections.
