Job Description

Washington State University is seeking an experienced, results-oriented Senior Director of Development to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for higher education and a commitment to making an impact in the philanthropic space. Reporting to the Vice President for Advancement, the Senior Director of Development will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive fundraising program including major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and corporate/foundation relations. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5-7 years of successful major gift fundraising experience, preferably in higher education, with a proven ability to close gifts. Additionally, the successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse constituency, and excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
