
Veterans Affairs Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain relationships with veteran students, providing support, guidance, and resources throughout their academic journey.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for veteran students, addressing their needs, concerns, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with university departments and external organizations to ensure a comprehensive support network for veteran students.
- Stay updated on changes and updates to veteran benefits and services, and effectively communicate this information to students.
- Assist veteran students in navigating the enrollment process, including admissions, financial aid, and course registration.
- Provide personalized academic advising to veteran students, taking into consideration their unique backgrounds and experiences.
- Plan and facilitate events and programs specifically tailored to the needs and interests of veteran students.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of veteran students, ensuring compliance with university policies and regulations.
- Advocate for veteran students' needs and concerns within the university community, promoting a supportive and inclusive environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance knowledge and skills related to veteran services and support.
Bachelor's Degree In Social Work, Counseling, Or Related Field
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Working With Veterans Or Military Families
Knowledge Of Va Regulations, Benefits, And Resources For Veterans
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Support And Advocate For Veterans
Ability To Work Collaboratively With Diverse Populations And Manage Multiple Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment.
