We are currently seeking a highly skilled and driven individual to join our team as a Dispatch Router/Combo. As a Dispatch Router/Combo, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient routing and dispatching of our fleet of trucks, as well as assisting in the coordination of daily operations. Coordinate and schedule the daily routing and dispatching of our fleet of trucks for waste management services.
Utilize computer systems and software to track and monitor truck locations and assignments.
Communicate with drivers, supervisors, and other team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of services.
Monitor and track truck performance, fuel usage, and maintenance needs to optimize efficiency and minimize costs.
Assist in the development and implementation of route optimization strategies to improve overall effectiveness of waste management operations.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all dispatch activities, including truck assignments, driver logs, and service requests.
Respond promptly and effectively to any service disruptions or emergencies, working to resolve issues quickly and minimize any impact on customers.
Collaborate with other departments, such as customer service and maintenance, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the waste management process.
Identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns related to truck routes or operations.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and best practices to continuously improve dispatching and routing processes.
Train and mentor new dispatching and routing team members to ensure a high level of performance and efficiency.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among all team members.
Uphold the company's commitment to sustainability and responsible waste management practices in all aspects of the job.
Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and cost savings within the dispatching and routing function.

Job Qualifications

Experience In Routing And Dispatching Operations: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Managing And Optimizing Routing And Dispatching Operations, Preferably In A Waste Management Or Logistics Setting.
Knowledge Of Waste Management Regulations: A Strong Understanding Of Federal, State, And Local Regulations Related To Waste Management Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Hazardous Waste Disposal, Recycling Requirements, And Transportation Regulations.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: Dispatch Routers/Combos Are Responsible For Coordinating With Drivers, Customers, And Other Team Members. Therefore, Candidates Must Possess Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills To Effectively Manage Multiple Tasks And Stakeholders.
Familiarity With Routing Software: Proficiency In Using Routing Software, Such As Streetsmart, Routesmart, Or Fleetmatics, Is A Must For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Create And Optimize Routes To Maximize Efficiency And Minimize Costs.
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Waste Management Is A Fast-Paced Industry, And Dispatch Routers/Combos Must Be Able To Thrive In A High-Pressure, Time-Sensitive Environment. They Should Be Able To Make Quick Decisions, Adapt To Changing Situations, And Handle Multiple Tasks Simultaneously.
