Conduct daily inspections and maintenance of waste management facilities to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
Monitor and report on the proper handling and disposal of waste materials, including hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
Assist in the development and implementation of environmental programs and initiatives to reduce waste and promote sustainability.
Collaborate with other departments and teams to identify and implement best practices for waste reduction and recycling.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Environmental Regulations: The Environmental Tech Ii Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental Regulations Related To Waste Management And Disposal.
Experience In Waste Management: A Minimum Of 2-3 Years Of Experience In Waste Management, Preferably In A Similar Role, Is Required For This Position. This Includes Experience In Handling Hazardous And Non-Hazardous Waste, As Well As Knowledge Of Recycling And Composting Processes.
Technical Skills: The Environmental Tech Ii Must Possess Technical Skills Such As The Ability To Operate And Maintain Waste Management Equipment, Perform Basic Maintenance And Repairs, And Use Various Computer Programs For Data Entry And Record-Keeping.
Physical Fitness: This Role Requires Physical Labor Such As Lifting And Moving Heavy Objects, Standing For Long Periods, And Working In Various Weather Conditions. Candidates Must Be Physically Fit And Able To Meet The Physical Demands Of The Job.
Teamwork And Communication: The Environmental Tech Ii Will Work Closely With Other Team Members And Must Have Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills. They Should Also Be Able To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team To Complete Tasks Efficiently And Effectively.
