
Merchant Services Head of Relationship Management

- Develop and implement a strategic plan for the Relationship Management team to ensure strong partnerships with merchant clients and drive business growth.
- Oversee and lead a team of relationship managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success in managing client relationships.
- Monitor and analyze the performance of the Relationship Management team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary changes.
- Collaborate with other departments within Wells Fargo to ensure a seamless and positive experience for merchant clients.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the merchant services industry, staying informed of industry trends and best practices to continuously improve the relationship management process.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including merchant clients, internal teams, and external partners.
- Develop and maintain a high level of customer service, ensuring the satisfaction and retention of merchant clients.
- Create and deliver presentations and reports to senior management on the performance of the Relationship Management team and the status of client relationships.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to streamline and improve the relationship management process.
- Stay up-to-date on all relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to the merchant services industry and ensure the Relationship Management team is in compliance.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities within the existing client base.
- Handle and resolve any escalated issues or concerns from merchant clients, ensuring their satisfaction and continued business with Wells Fargo.
Extensive Experience In Merchant Services: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Merchant Services, With A Strong Understanding Of The Industry And Its Trends. This Experience Should Include Managing Large Portfolios, Building Relationships With Key Clients, And Developing And Implementing Strategic Plans.
Strong Leadership Skills: As The Head Of Relationship Management, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Relationship Managers. Therefore, They Should Possess Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Coach Team Members, Delegate Tasks, And Make Strategic Decisions.
Proven Track Record Of Success: The Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Success In Growing Merchant Services Portfolios. This Should Include A History Of Meeting Or Exceeding Sales Goals, Managing Key Client Relationships, And Driving Revenue Growth.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ability To Effectively Communicate With Clients, Team Members, And Senior Management Is Crucial For This Role. The Candidate Should Be Able To Build Strong Relationships And Effectively Present Ideas And Proposals To Clients And Internal Stakeholders.
Knowledge Of Payment Processing And Technology: A Deep Understanding Of Payment Processing And Technology Is Essential For This Role.
