Job Description

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Senior Market Risk Specialist to join the Wells Fargo team. You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing market risk management strategies and processes to protect the company from financial losses caused by market volatility. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of strong technical, quantitative, and communication skills, as well as the ability to think strategically. If you’re excited to be part of a dynamic and forward-thinking team, we want to hear from you!Successful applicants will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a risk-related role and a bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, economics, or finance. In addition, experience in market risk management, derivative metrics and modeling, and financial market regulations is highly desirable.We’re looking for someone who is a self-starter with a strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement market risk management strategies to protect the company from financial losses
  2. Monitor the financial markets for changes in volatility and take appropriate action
  3. Utilize quantitative methods and financial market regulations to assess market risk
  4. Analyze derivative metrics and models to help make informed decisions
  5. Create reports and presentations to communicate risk management strategies to stakeholders
  6. Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment with risk management objectives
  7. Stay up to date with industry trends and regulations
  8. Maintain accurate records and documentation of risk management activities
  9. Provide training and guidance to junior team members on market risk management strategies and processes.
